The Robe (1953)

Drunk and disillusioned Roman, Marcellus Gallio, wins Jesus' robe in a dice game after the crucifixion. Marcellus has never been a man of faith like his slave, Demetrius, but when Demetrius escapes with the robe, Marcellus experiences disturbing visions and feels guilty for his actions. Convinced that destroying the robe will cure him, Marcellus sets out to find Demetrius — and discovers his Christian faith along the way.

A lovely Biblical epic in Technicolor, in true 50's-Hollywood style. Not exactly realistic, but I enjoyed it.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch .....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that jay robinson, michael rennie, richard burton, jean simmons, victor mature play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that the director of this drama/classics/epic movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie.....i think that richard burton was brilliant throughout this movie...i think that this is a really sad movie 2 watch but its so brilliant movie 2 watch with a great cast throughout this movie

Great acting and a nice story, although a bit dated by now it is still entertaining.
