Probably the one of the best Exorcism movies I've seen since the orignal Exorcist. I like how the director / writer focused more the character of the exorcist rather than the posession itself. More than just cheap parlour tricks and some gore.

The acting was great, but the scary could have been cranked up higher. Furthermore, acceptance of God through logic is an illogical concept, that's why it's called faith.

Way better than people are saying. I cannot believe how underrated this movie was. Just a reminder that critics mean nothing and should not even influence decisions about going to movies.

The Exorcist (1973) is hollywood stuff, "The Rite" is the real thing...the exorcism scene is not EXAGGERATED. if your looking for all those gross and morbid stuff watch "evil Dead". "the exorcisms in the film were "very accurate" with some "expected licenses" taken" perfect execution of truth...using least effects. this movie was not supposed to "scare" it's purpose is to "prove" that God EXISTS...
