Alice's Restaurant (1969)

After getting kicked out of college, Arlo decides to visit his friend Alice for Thanksgiving dinner. After dinner is over, Arlo volunteers to take the trash to the dump but finds it closed for the holiday, so he dumps the trash in the bottom of a ravine. This act of littering gets him arrested and sends him on a bizarre journey.

I saw this movie this morning and I thought that this was one great Hippie Movie and Arlo Guthrie was great.

One of those 'generational anthems' that's more endearing because it's a tad off key. Arlo Guthrie's semi-autobiographical homage to his father and his friends.

A really stupid, pointless movie. Extremely unfocused and poorly put together with really amateur performances.
