Maybe I was wrong about THE HAUNTING. THE REFLECTING SKIN might, actually, be the "scariest"--well, no? It's a different sort of "terror". Horrible, emotional? wrenching? THIS is one of the most powerful pieces I've ever seen. VIGGO MORTENSEN is (again-as ALWAYS) BRILLIANT. Screw DeNiro. Mortensen is (easily) the best actor alive today? and a genius in more ways than one. ?This is a film that NEEDS to be seen. It's beautifully directed and masterfully shot. Worth searching out. ;and, TRULY, truly? disturbing and wrenching (in my opinion?).

A haunting, achingly beautiful film with the most memorable cinematography of a wheat field I have ever seen. I NEED this on DVD.

Reflecting Skin has such a surreal quality to it. A very underestimated picture and too rarely seen

Beautiful, disturbing movie with lots of cornfields and unhabited praerie. That little boy in a leading role can really play his part well. At the end I had the feeling that the boy is the oldest person in the whole movie. I really enjoyed this movie.

Dark and disturbing, yet beautifully set against the background of a rural town. Every minute of this film becomes more and more horrifying, so much that the film never leaves you. Its most disturbing scenes stick at the back of your mind. Well worth watching, if you enjoy the extremely grotesque and harrowing films.
