pretty good movie I didn't know that different religions had different ways of dealing with exorcisms as stupid as that sounds I figured you just always called a catholic priest for that stuff. but Hellas good just the right amount of creepy too. love that it was based off of true events solely because it shows that faith in god can overcome evil.

The Possession is based off of the mythology of the dibuck, a Jewish demon that primarily prays on children and the dead. I still think the creepiest dibuck scene is that which is featured in A Serious Man by the Coen Brothers. With that said, The Possession does have some creepy moments. No, it's not the modern day Exorcist that Hollywood would love to replicate the success of, but it's still a good modern day thriller and the acting is very good.

I liked this one! much better than the rite or the devil inside. this one is not just creepy, it's really emotional. which makes the story a lot better. I'm going to get it on dvd for sure!
