This is a very, very beautiful movie. Every shot is a sight to behold and the score couldn't work better. Tabu is an extremely briliant actress and she's the star here. One thing that struck me was how subtle everything was in the movie, and how easy it was to watch, it's like taking a stroll in the park.

This is a film of tremendous quality. It is a beauty to watch, but deeper than that, it captures a portrait of a family with the tragedy, loss and comfort that comes with love. It demonstrates that great films are still being made.

Yes, Another grand Movie. I finally pick up on the Actor Irrfan Khan, not realizing he is the Same Actor in the Movie "Slumdog Millionaire". India, with such Humble Actor's / Actressess. Yes I so enjoyed the movie "The Namesake" as well as the Actor's, and watch it now and again. I so love learning the culture. Seeing two cultures come together from the old world tradition's to the new traditional day to day tribulation's and from two world's apart. India with it's bright and vibrant color's and soothing music, to the States with the fast moving day to day fast paced lifestyles. I'm glad to have "The Namesake" in my possession. Kal Penn is another fine Actor, so Young and Handsome, soon to become even bigger an Actor, I'm looking forward to seeing more of him along with Irrfan Khan in more great Movies.

This was such an amazing film. A great culture based explanation to the American life for an Indian family. Penn was amazing as the son trying to figure out where he fits in this wide world.
