Aronofskys debut undertakes a filmic spagat between genius and parannoia. Gloomy black and white picture underscored by a dark drum n bass sountrack. The best evidence that minimal means may attain maximal effect!

Fantastic, creepy-awesome movie. It's like if Eraserhead had a fascinating, thrilling plot and actually made sense! Pi combines science fiction, religion, math, and an underlying sense of creepy-ness, and the result is a movie the likes of which you've never seen before.

A mindf*** of a psychological black and white indie, based around a man living in that grey area between genius and madness, obsessed with numbers and the so-called random patterns that they create in the world around us, specifically in the stock market. This film is so brilliant and insane at the same time, kind of like the main character. It left me totally rattled the first time I saw it, and screwed with my head bigtime! Love it.

De una estÃ (C)tica, su ritmo y su atmÃ³sfera envidiable. Todas ellas conjunto de una buena direcciÃ³n y un guiÃ³n bastante interÃ (C)sate e inteligente que construye su narrativa de forma muy especial con ayuda de un Montaje que pareciera tener vida propia y que enseÃ±a al espectador como funciona para despuÃ (C)s sorprenderlo. La fotografÃa en blanco y negro llena de contrastes es magnifica ya que transmite la paranoia y la enfermedad de la que sufre el personaje principal. Otro acierto es precisamente el actor protagonista que entiende a la perfecciÃ³n el papel y le da vida con una soltura impresionante. Con ayuda de la banda sonora de Clint Mansell y otros autores la pelÃcula recibe ese toque onÃrico perturbador y desenfrenado para que el logro visual-sonoro sea evidente y envuelva al espectador en el mÃ¡s caÃ³tico viaje de demencia que deja entrever un poco que la relaciÃ³n entre Dios y la ciencia es mÃ¡s estrecha de lo que parece. Un thriller sobre la demencia con escenas memorables y lleno de muchas lecturas.
