The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963)

The crooks in London know how it works. No one carries guns and no one resists the police. Then a new gang appears that go one better. They dress as police and steal from the crooks. This upsets the natural order of the police/criminal relationship and the police and the crooks join forces to catch the IPOs (Impersonating Police Officers), including an armoured car robbery in which the police must help the gangs to set a trap.

This film gets its marks for being good fun, with a cast of great British actors.

Remeber a time when the police and criminals respected each other, well this is it. It is easy to assume this British comedy of the 60's would be a farce, but it is head and tails above the Ealing studio comedies that were so prevalent at this time, meaning it really is funny.

wow what a movie.....i have just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.,....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie....i think that peter sellers, nanette newman, michael caine, lionel jeffries, john le mesurier, graham stark, bernars cribbins, bill kerr, davy kaye play good roles/parts throughout this movie....i think that peter sellers was just brilliant thorughout this movie.....i think that the director of this comedy movie had done a great job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie its a good movie 2 watch n its an entertaining movie 2 watch

Pure enjoyment, with more well-known British 1960's comedy actors than you can shake a truncheon at.
