Really rather poor early Hammer effort, badly-dated. Peter Cushing tries his best.

It was the 60's. They had trouble with movies like this. You get to the end and you think to yourself "Did I zone out? Or was there really no plot?"

This mythical English hero yarn is a bit of a yorn. There are better Hood's than this, including Costner!

A visually impressive version of the Robin Hood story from Hammer Studios. Richard Greene is suitably cast as Robin Hood (he also played the role on television) and Peter Cushing is a wonderfully evil Sheriff of Nottingham.

As a fan of Hammer, as a fan of Peter Cushing, as a fan of director Terence Fisher, and as a fan of Robin Hood, this one should have easily clicked for me -- instead, it's a rather tired rendition of the saga.
