This is the second adaptation of a Jack Ketchum novel that was loosely based on a true story that I watched this week. And it was the second one that underwhelmed me. Am I supposed to believe that, since Ray Pye puts crushed up beer cans in his boots to look taller that he does what he does because of short man's syndrome? Or is it because he brazenly wears black eyeliner which is in direct contrast to the rest of his look which is decidedly 50s greaser? Either way? Don't care.

A well done adaptation of Jack Ketchums intense novel. Its extremly faithful to its source material. All the casted actors were perfect to the characters they portrayed. Its well acted, well directed and violent as fuck. It does have it flaws but its not a shit fest. Its a good film. When i first read the novel i thought to myself if they ever turned this into a film it would be impossible to do....well i was proved wrong. But i wish they ended it with the prison bitch senario.
