Say what you want, but Pacino has still got it!

I'm sure Barry Levinson had no idea Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu was making the all-too-similar "Birdman." So while Michael Keaton's performance will be remembered, Al Pacino's probably will not.

This one was really disappointing to me. Nothing about it worked for me, not the screenplay, acting, cinematography or direction. It's surprising that a film starring Pacino and directed by Oscar winner Barry Levinson could be so bad. Even Greta Gerwig whom I normally like isn't great. There's several cameos, the only worthwhile one was Charles Grodin who I've always liked. Skip it!

An unusually charming dark comedy about an actor teetering on the edges of reality, fantasy and career. The subject of dementia is explored and mined, not made fun of.
