This is one movie that has certainly carved a picture in my mind with its remarkable beauty of the sand dunes coupled with a simple yet powerful storyline. House of Sand explores the determination of a young mother whom despite having lost all hope of getting back to the outside world, has never given up hope that she will be able to get her mother and daughter out of the barren place that they are stuck in.

good & real about life & contentment & making the best of your current situation - home is where you are as in the expression "make yourself at home"... beautiful sand & sea sceneries... Fernanda Montenegro was fantastic in all 3 roles...

I was fascinated by the existence in the desert. It was such an interesting setting for me. Not to say that I didn't enjoy the film itself.

Evocative as it can be, House of Sand doesn't have enough story or incident to justify the investment in time.

Great film, the way it looks is beautiful and the story is very good, but it looked like something out of The Twilight Zone.
