Jennifer Connelly and a deep depression of darkness -- I wouldn't want to be brought to tears by anybody else.

An Ancient Greek tragedy set in San Francisco, this time, everyone is fighting for custody of a house. A turbulent ride in emotion and character and violence in the end. A must see, not only for the fog in the movie, but for the performances by these incredible actors. -Dex

Tragic, profound, and incredibly moving. Engrossing and terrifying all at the same time. Definitely forces you to think and feel--which is all a filmmaker can try for.

House of Sand and Fog is one of the best dramas I have seen in the last 5 years. The acting, plot , direction, music, and cinematography by Roger Deakins is really superb. I will not forget this film very soon. The acting was really wonderful. Ben Kingsley and Jenifer Connelly gave two of their most powerful perfromances yet. And James Horner's music was wonderful and heartbreaking. Very emotional and very intense film. I highly recommend it.
