Decent film noir dripping with heat and sex, but the plot kind of meanders a little and things get messy at the end (but not necessarily in a good way). Still, it's a good ride and reeks of the classics.

The film might have been a camp hoot if it weren't for the fact that Hopper still believes in all this stuff - he likes his women molten, duplicitous, and in kinky high heels.
