Cult for a good reason, the best Jodorowsky movie. Grotesque, beautiful, stunning, apalling, disgusting, boring, fascinating, silly, clever, surreal, humble, egotistic, all the adjectives seem to fit.

wow. possibly the most unflinchingly original and uncompromisingly enigmatic thing i've ever seen. i'm not even sure this is a movie. it might be an alien, or some sort of filmic hallucinogen.

a film of pure alchemical deconstruction of the ur-every-man so that he can be rebuilt as a crystal-hearted stone. the most revelatory symbolic film ever.

Haters admit that you have no taste. I waited years to see this on the big screen and it was well worth the wait. Every single frame in this film could hang on the wall. An impossible premise and an uncompromising ending. My favorite movie going experience of 2007. Financed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono!
