A little known film that is acted wonderfully. Every little story within the film is interesting and realistic. Plus Stephen Colbert has possibly the greatest line ever said. At least I think so.

Interesting film with some great performances. Disparate stories of emotionally wounded people dealing with their own breaking points. The elephant in the room of 9/11 ties them all together thematically. And all done by the director of 'Dude, Where's My Car?'. Whoah.

It's in the Magnolia/Short Cuts vein and, although it's not as good as those classics, the characters and their dilemmas are absorbing.

There's a lot to admire about this movie, especially its lack of sentimental manipulation when dealing with the topic of 9/11.
