Shanghai Kiss (2007)

Liam Liu unwittingly gets involved with a high school girl. He suddenly has to go to China after learning from his father that he has inherited his grandmother's home in Shanghai. He's not very appreciative of his Chinese roots, and at first, only wants to sell the house and get back to the U.S. as fast as possible. He gets a taste of the Chinese culture and ends up having some big decisions to make.

I really like this movie a lot. Hayden Penettiere and Kelly Hu? You just can't go wrong.

This was a great film, I suppose it's a chick flick for guys really, cos it addresses stuff that all us men (Bastards that we are) go through, Bridget Jones for men maybe? haha nah it aint that schmaltzy and sugar coated but seriously it does draw you in and the characters all have their own unique charm - amazing quote in the film "you can list all the qualities that you want in someone, but in the end , the Heart wants what it wants". This was great ,happy and sad in equal measures.

I thought this movie was funny. Very realistic view into what life as a foreigner coming to live in Shanghai is like! Too realistic!
