From the weirder side of romance, a side Mr. Bukowski was very familiar with. If I called it "touching" would that be too strange?

The best Bukowski movie out there... reminds me so much of Raferty's or Road House in Marshfield.

Next to The Wrestler, this is Mickey Rourkes greatest achievement. His real father, living and dying as a real alcoholic must have been a tough demon to subdue for Mickey. He succeeded with flying colors. Dark, deep and with a bit of sympathy for the main character, it is a very moving film.
