Excellent. If you liked the book you'll appreciate the movie. Leo is phenomenal.

What a wonderful surprise it was to find my son had recorded this movie. Once again Baz Lurhman reigns supreme. Great performances, great production. A great night staying in! And BTW so much better than the original version with Mr Redford. Definitely would recommend.

Amazing love story, stunning visuals and terrific soundtrack. DiCaprio has delivered time and time again, and this time is no different.

I loathed reading the novel in high school. I never sympathized with the insipid Daisy or the title character. However, Leonardo DiCaprio brings Gatsby to life. I love Baz Lurhmann's films and this was no exception. It's a spectacle, but you cannot turn your eyes away from the lavish scenery and the phenomenal crop of actors. I do not understand the negative reviews in the slightest. Was especially impressed with Tobey Maguire's performance as Nick - the only character I cared about in the original source material.
