This version of Cindrella is by far one of my favorites, although I'm not a huge fan of the singing all the time. The costuming and sets are exquisitely beautiful. I particularly love the performance by Estelle Winwood as the fairy godmother.

i quite like this atypical portrayal of cinderella...the unlikely cinderella- called ella sports short hair, a french accent and an unfriendly disposition...she is pissed off and doesnt mind showing it...quite the departure from the goody two shoes cinderellis out there! leslie caron was enchanting!
