Starts out sweet but then makes sharp hints at the adult world that surrounds the child and then all the tension and...wow. The pace becomes slightly uneven during the investigation, but it's still really good.

An elegant balance of suspense and farce, this tale of the relationship between a boy and the beloved butler he suspects of murder is a delightfully macabre thriller of the first order.
