full of sound of fury signifying everything.

this is one of my favorites. probably the best child acting ever done. carol reed makes consistently good films and this is right up there with the 3rd man. my girldfriend and i always imitate this kid when he says "i hate you." a thriller with a good sense of humor and a plot and characters that make you want to watch it more than 4 times.

Ralph Richardson is spectacular as Baines. The movie itself is brilliantly and moodily shot. A great precursor to the second collaboration between Reed and Greene, the masterpiece The Third Man.

Nicely executed by Richardson and the rest of the cast. One of the best of the British thrillers.

An okay movie with superb performances. The only problem is that it drags on and on. The short story was much better.
