different perspective puts a new spin on this story as it is almost all told from the child

favorite line: macgregor, death by mrs. baines... favorite scene: the paper airplane/note.... a wonderful story about a boy and his idol, the lies we tell, the secrets we keep and the consequences that result........highly recommended!

Greene's writing here is flawless. In a plot in which very little actually occurs he builds a suspenseful story which engages the viewer. Furthermore his ability to connect viewers to the regrettably flawed Baines is uncanny. Several gorgeous shots and great performances. Solid, solid film.
