A hilarious dark comedy with an all star cast, and directed by Reynolds. I love it, and I highly recommend it.

This is half-heartedly satiric material that's been directed by Mr. Reynolds as if it were broad, knock-about comedy sometimes and, at other times, as if it were meant to evoke pathos, which it never does.

At the time I saw this, I thought it was the funniest movie I had ever seen. I actually doubled over and almost fell out of my seat laughing! "The man's nuts! Grab 'em!!!"

Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise have good chemistry.

One of the hubbie's favourites from childhood and I can see why an 8-year-old would find this hilarious. Dom DeLuise WAS funny and it was fun to see Robby Benson and Kristy McNichol in their prime. Overall, though...pretty weak. Still don't understand how Burt Reynolds became such a big star.
