If you haven't seen this film, you definitely must see it!!! One of the best Hungarian movies when Csányi Sándor wasn't sooooo famous and had stupid films.

Not only are the characters wonderful to watch, but the environment in which they inhabit is gorgeously dark and atmospheric...I love the murkiness of the underground and the fact that there is no natural light in the film...shades of Blade Runner in its aesthetic execution, which is a good thing of course...The soundtrack is perfect as well...

Amazing mesh of visuals and music. Mise en scene and soundtrack if you will.

One of the best films I've seen in quite awhile. This film has everything: humor, excitement, intelligence, etc. Shot entirely underground in the Budapest subway system, Kontroll is top-of-it's-class entertainment with rich themes, symbolism and meaning. I'll have fun thinking this one over during the next few days. Seek this film out! It's worth it!

It's a great science-fiction piece, a razor-sharp satire, and an impressive calling card for an emerging Hungarian cinema.
