When a renegade band of young filmmakers break into an abandoned hospital to make their horror epic, they stumble upon a real dead body and decide to use it in their movie. They accidentally bring it back to life, open a portal to a dead world that releases dozens of other zombies, then struggle for their lives in a desperate attempt to flee from the creatures who apparently have them hopelessly trapped in the hospital.

It's a Charles Band Production--need I say more?

I like how the only review they could find for this was "Unique!" It reminded me of what an elementary teacher would say to the slow kid about an art project they've just done. Now, on to the movie. It's very a typical zombie movie. And I can't really say bad things about it because it's directed and staring a lot of people who loved the same movies that I did. However, when you spend half of your audio commentary trying to defend everything you did, you shouldn't be making the movie. The make up was great, except for the main guy who turned into a zombie. The deaths weren't really well done but the end was interesting. However, no matter how much we want to, we can't take away from the fact that not everyone knows who Lucio Fuluci and Dario Argento are, and these jokes and references are wasted on extreme horror buffs. I realize that it was a homage, but it's not a homage if no one watches it. E for Effort.

For me de dead are different and that's how it is, so this movie is my trick movie for those that pass earlly or late.A haha aha aha ah

Not a bad movie for being low budget. The maggots on the hand was gross!

I don't know what it is or why exactly I love this movie but I do. Granted, it's made to be a "B" movie so the acting is subpar, the directing is subpar, hell, you name it it's subpar... but something about this movie is endearing to me. Maybe it's the "I want to be Rob Zombie" villain, or the "I wish I was Bruce Campbell" hero. Or maybe the movie just sang right at the time I watched it. Whatever the reason, I think The Dead Hate The Living is a lot of fun, and a movie I'll always enjoy!
