A psychic seemingly dies of fright during a séance where she sees a vision of a Dunwich priest hanging himself in a church cemetery. New York City reporter Peter Bell investigates and learns that the priest's suicide has somehow opened a portal to Hell that must be sealed by All Saints Day, or else the dead will overtake humanity.

Fulci at the peak of his powers superb zombies,drills through heads,guts getting puked up and a plot that goes somewhere then gets lost......nice

I saw this as a kid, and all I could rememeber about it was the drill scene and the vomit scene. After watching it about 100 times since, this is up there in my favourite giallo movies. <3 Fulci

One of Fulci's zombie classics. When I bought this, I expected it to be full of great gore sequences and tons of zombies roaming around New York City. My excpectations were sort of fullfilled but the zombies weren't attacking a city, they were in a little town, a rural community. I also had a problem with the zombies themselves. they didn't shamble or walk anywhere. they teleported wherever they wanted to go. The few gore scenes that there were in the moview were done quite well. The most famous being the girl throwing up her insides. The amount of gore in this movie could have been higher since it was a zombie movie but I'm not complaining. In all I think Fulci made a decent horror movie that was pretty suspenseful. Most messed up part of the movie: When the girl in the car throws up her insides in front of her boyfriend.

Strictly for italian horror enthusiasts, silly scripts, confusing story that doesn't grab your attention, annoying annoying child. Fulci Addicts dig in, all others avoid.
