A psychic seemingly dies of fright during a séance where she sees a vision of a Dunwich priest hanging himself in a church cemetery. New York City reporter Peter Bell investigates and learns that the priest's suicide has somehow opened a portal to Hell that must be sealed by All Saints Day, or else the dead will overtake humanity.

Another typical Italian style over subtance horror movie. The style is bloody awesome. Fantastic cinematography and some genuinely creepy scenes. But as for substance, the plot is ridiculous and the characters are even more lame than a 'Friday The 13th' movie.

this is lucio fulci at his most macabre, in my opinion. a town haunted by a priest that hangs himself in the beginning of the movie? that's fucking brutal.

Captured as Fulci wanted: a series of images. To critique the plot is to fail to understand the concept. A superb replication of a nightmare.
