AVH: Alien vs. Hunter (2007)

A journalist named Lee Custler (William Katt) is out jogging when a flying object passes behind him and crashes. Sheriff Joel Armstrong (Collin Brock) picks him up and they go to check it out. They find an abandoned caravan close to where the object crashed. As they discover the object and realize it is a spaceship, an Alien emerges. The Alien (resembling a giant spider with a lizard-like head and torso) then chases them, after which Lee flees to the car. However Armstrong makes a stand, trips, falls and is killed by the Alien that then leaves. A terrified Tammy finds Lee and they call the local authorities but their car is destroyed by the Alien.

this made mega octopus v giant shark watchable it was that bad. The sort of film youshould watch after having a few beers, in this case about 10. Sadly I was stone cold sober

Few movies can think that they were produced with even an inkling of originality as wrongly as this one. Asylum is so evil that they are actually entertaining.

This movie was pretty bad, the Hunter looks more like a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica with a chinese farmer hat on (i.e. nothing like the cover). The movie seemed to spend all of its budget on the few scenes with the 'alien' in it, and not much else. There is so much to get into how all of the cars in the movie were the same Honda SUV. The acting was terrible and they refer to things that never happened in the movie as if they did happen in the movie.

Like other Asylum films the story is nonsensical, the acting is so bad it makes the already hard to follow script impossible to grasp, the special effects are cheap, nasty and they constantly reuse the same footage. None of the characters are likable or even memorable and the twist at the end? Like a dagger in the back.
