Fakey, but still quite good, Lovely to look at

The Curse of the Cat People is fantastic film. It is about the young, friendless daughter of Oliver and Alice Reed who befriends her father's dead first wife and a reclusive actress. Kent Smith and Jane Randolph give excellent performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Gunther von Fritsch did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. The Curse of the Cat People is a must see.

Oddly different from "Cat People", despite having the same lead characters. Beautifully and atmospherically photographed, but clunkily scripted and woodenly acted. (The young actress playing the 6-year-old protagonist is actually much better than the adults.)
