After years of separation, Irena Gallier and her minister brother, Paul, reunite in New Orleans. When zoologists capture a wild panther, Irena is drawn to the cat – and zoo curator Oliver to her. Soon, Paul will have to reveal the family secret: that when sexually aroused, they revert into predatory jungle cats.

Paul Schrader's experimental remake of the classic old movie remains a potent movie. Filled with erotic-intensity, paranoia and impossibly cool shade - "Cat People" is a tawdry, encaging , sexy, depraved, twisted and fun movie. Natassja Kinski brings her alluring presence which effortlessly blends with Malcom McDowell's sinister performance. The cinematic metaphors are a bit heavy-handed, but still effective. Offering a glimpse at a New Orleans long gone, "Cat People" is great movie. The throbbingly incessant Giorgio Moroder score does not seem so much dated as appropriate within the context of this seething seedy movie. As David Bowie croons, this movie is "putting out fire with gasoline." ...and it is much fun to watch.

Excellent Cat Horror with Striking Terror, a bewichting Erotic Atmosphere, Awesome Pictures of Cat of Preys and a Bombastic Soundtrack!!! Natassja Kinski is Hot!!! I want to build a Time Machine to travel to the Year 1982 to have Hot Leopard Sex with her!!!

This movie had it all, stuff of today's movies can't duplicate. Erotic, well acted, great scenery authentic sets, beautiful cats, AND full frontal nudity!
