This is just hilariously funny. Put together some of the most noted comic horror actors of the time and you have a hit.Price is great, Lorre plays the Igor role with aplomb, Basil Rathbone and Boris Karloff provide great support. A hidden gem.

I am glad the filmmakers put the word "comedy" in the title because I'm not sure I would have know it was a comedy any other way. Price and Lorre are undertakers who have been forced to make their own business by killing in between Price's wife's horrible singing and his father-in-law, Karloff, muttering nonsense. They decide to bump off their landlord, Rathbone, who has a bad habit of not staying dead. Despite the references to Poe's work, this film never gets off the ground. It's bad, and not so-bad-it's-good bad, just bad.

Karloff, Rathbone, Lorre, and Price, all icons of the horror genre, show surprising flair for comedy and watching them ham it up in this outing is a treat for their fans. A gothic, dark comedy gem.

Fun movie that puts 4 horror legends together in one movie! VIncent Price, Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and Basil Rathbone all look like thiey're having the time of their lives in this one. The best of course is Rathbone, who delightfully steals every scene he's in.
