The film is an endearing dinosaur, more suited for a museum than a multiplex...

City is a talky melodrama, and some of the dialogue is oddly stiff. But it's a pleasure to watch great actors dig into this literary material, and the movie looks sunny and spectacular.

A slow moving story of finding love. Interesting people may not always make the most interesting characters. The actors give strong performances, but the story just feels to drag.

I still don't know how this ended up in my DVD player, but it wasn't that bad - but you have to be in the mood for loosers with dominant girlfriends, who escapes to a problem hunted rich family and learn to stand on his own feet

The landscapes and performances are thought out...just not the script...
