This is about the same guy that Citizen Kane is unofficially about. It has Cary Elwes AND Eddie Izzard, so even if it weren't brilliant on its own, they'd make it that way.

Didn't know about its existance until I caught it on TV. The man playing Charlie Chaplin looks NOTHING like him, but it's a good look into the whole world of 20's glamour and movie business's starts.

The movie leaves us with the image of rich folks frantically dancing the Charleston because if they stop, they'll have nothing. The point is as untrue as it is simplistic.
