The Brain Eaters (1958)

A huge, alien structure resembling an inverted cone, appears in the woods outside a small rural town. Sent from Washington to investigate the origin of the mysterious object, a team of investigators discovers that intelligent parasites from inside the "cone" can attach themselves to humans' nervous systems and control their minds, taking control of the authorities and workers, making communication with the outside world impossible, and leaving the responsibility of stopping the invasion up to seven people who have thus far been able to avoid possession by these creatures from parts unknown.

maybe i should be a scientist! they always get called in on the good stuff. no one calls an artist when creatures pop out or aliens land or giant bunnies/women/bugs take over the earth. only 60 minutes.

This isn't even B grade; it's Z grade. The budget is nonexistent & the parasites in this look like something I made in crafts in kindergarten w/ pipe cleaners. It appears that an alien spaceship is burrowed into the earth & parasites are attacking people turning them into madmen. As it turns out these parasites aren't an alien force & actually come w/in the earth's core. Shiver's this is not. Just cheap & boring that I was thankful for it's brief running time.

OK obvious Invasion Of The Body Snatchers clone. A mysterious space ship appears, bringing with it latching leeches brain controlling anyone that it hosts on to. Some stupid dialogue and acting, along with a so so story, makes for an atypical AIP picture. No eating of brains shown! Cheat!
