After a group of biologists discovers a huge network of unexplored caves in Romania and, believing it to be an undisturbed eco-system that has produced a new species, they hire the best American team of underwater cave explorers in the world. While exploring deeper into the underwater caves, a rockslide blocks their exit, and they soon discover a larger carnivorous creature has added them to its food chain.

For the people who see this review. the decent came out after this movie so don't say it copied it.I have never seen the decent but Iv heard that its pritty good. I think this movie was entertaining, the acting was good. good story line, and an ending that sets up for a sequel. and to top it off it has Nemo by nightwish in the credits.

great story and execution... love the parasite premise and the ending that leaves you hanging in suspence wondering if she is infected, how it happened and what is the parasite going to do? Will it cause human kind to mutate or will it lay dormant in the human dna untill suck time that its qualities are of use... and in what ways can it be transdered from one person to the next...
