If you give the story time to develop, then it is rewarding. Jared Breeze is completely believable, in his role.

With how slow the film is, and the fact that all the action only really occurs within the last 15 minutes of the film (and even then it isn't that action packed), I would say this film is definitely not for everyone.

I sure was expecting a child of the satan kind of horror movie, this was more like a sadistic child growing up in a weird environment. I wouldn't watch it if David Morse wasn't in it. Hated it.

A bit slow, but visually impressive. The pace actually fits for the boy's eventual breakdown.

Mildly disturbing like "The Good Son". I have rarely felt so sad for a chicken in my life.
