The Most Dangerous Game (1932)

When legendary hunter Bob Rainsford is shipwrecked on the perilous reefs surrounding a mysterious island, he finds himself the guest of the reclusive and eccentric Count Zaroff. It's kind of cheesy in certain places, but the sets are amazing, which is probably why they used them again for King Kong.

I watched this on the TCM channel the other night and it was very entertaining. I had read the short story that its based off of at school so i was familiar with the plot and overall its a very fun film-noir flick.

a classic without a doubt and a very watchable one at that. i do like joel mccrea and his work with preston sturges but also found him very enjoyable here. this is definetely pretty thrilling and does have healthy bits of cheese thrown in for good measure. the great thing about this is that it is available in the public domain to watch for free

This movie is a huge pile of the shlockiest cheese imaginable, yet it's just so damn entertaining that you can overlook the plot-hole riddled slice of Swiss cheese that is called a plot. The two men who brought you the original King Kong are back with the first adaptation of the famous short story of the same name. That's not all they brought; Fay Wray is as gorgeous as ever (she's a babe) and you can even spot a few set pieces used in King Kong, most notably the huge knocked over tree that provides a bridge that the hunters escape on when being chased by the t-rex (I think? It's been a while since I've seen Kong). By no means is it a perfect movie, but it does deliver some iconic lines of dialogue, and you can watch it on instant Netflix, and it's short as fuck, so why not?

This movie is great. It's not as good as the original short story but that doesn't make it bad. It's not that long, but it's worth every second, overall it's a great movie.
