Finney Blake, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. Based on a short story from Joe Hill and directed with tone-perfect style by Scott Derrickson, who wrote the screen adaptation with his “Doctor Strange” writing partner C. Robert Cargill, The Black Phone is a hauntingly effective, perfectly paced, consistently chilling and wickedly warped horror gem.

It is a little slow to start at first, but as it builds up the movie gets surprising and good. It's a tale that gives you the creeps because of how realistic it is and how mindblowing the storylines cross over to deliver a gripping paranormal suspense that is comparable to the Sixth Sense.

Child-snatcher keeps being able to abduct and murder kids because parents continue to allow them just to walk the streets even when he's out there at large and his brother completely doesn't notice what's going on in his basement, despite spending all his free time investigating the case from his sofa.

It was an interesting movie and suspense was good too, but the plot was a bit predictable. Still i thought it was a good movie.

Black phone is a decent horror movie . It isn't scary at all but it has a great atmospher , and performances are really good especially ethan hawke . His character gives you the creepy and mystrious vibe .
