A camel abandoned by a traveling circus is adopted by a Polish couple who then become an object of fascination and envy in their village. A movie that starts out heartwarming, ends up frustrating and makes owning a camel seem really cool.

A camel befriends a middle-aged couple in a tiny Polish town. I initially saw this stunning little movie (a Kieslowski screenplay) at a film festival in LA several years ago. I was thrilled when it finally was available on DVD.
