The normally wonderful Kate Ashfield bags a supporting slot as Milo's love interest only to spend the film's climax ruthlessly gagged with a strip of gaffer tape. Given the state of the dialogue, this is probably for the best.

I really enjoyed it! Not perfect, but still a very enjoyable British dark comedy! Damien Lewis was fantastic, as was a great deal of the supporting cast. Most of which I haven't seen before.

This cute and quirky movie was an unexpected treat. Damien Lewis was excellent as "the baker" a hit man trying to reform. And the cast of characters made this movie that much more enjoyable.

I love the discreet and absurd British humour. Reminds me a little of In Bruges, or to be fair - In Bruges reminds of The Baker because this was made a year earlier. A shame that it hasn't got more attention since it's a great story with great actors (Michael Gambon, in his typical role, among others) and a nice soundtrack. Some parts was pretty slow though. Nevertheless, The Baker is definitely worth watching.

Pretty good, reminded me alot of the film 'you kill me'.you can see alot of the quirks of damien's tv show life in this. Filmed in wales so it has to be good
