A great piece of story telling. Rebecca Hall plays her part convincingly. At the start of the story she portrays a strong intelligent woman with quite valid reasons for finding and debunking ghostly situations. As the story progresses you are drawn into all of the characters lives and their underlying psychological issues based on their lives in and around the Orphanage. The atmosphere and ambiance of the film is superb. With a few twists along the way. I wouldn't say it was a scary film but there is an air of tension and pacing is perfect. A very enjoyable film..

Despite the low scores, I liked it. It's a very entertaining movie, set in London, 1921 (what helps with the horror atmosphere)... It doesn't scared me, but the ending is mind-blowing.

Very good, suspense period chiller movie. Ghost hunter and all out hoax finder, Florence Cathcart (hall) goes to a boarding school after a teacher, Robert (west) comes for her help with regards to some strange goings on in the boarding school. At first all seems to lead to the children of the school playing tricks on her, all is not fully revealed or explained until half term holidays until the children all leave, or do they!! A nice twist at the end which brings everything together. Hall and West's chemistry is very good throughout. See if you like the others or sixth sense.
