Twenty-four years after he freed the Israelites, Charlton Heston returned to Egypt to insult the ancient gods again in 'The Awakening.' Let my people go -- to their Netflix queues, to request the erratic but more enjoyable 'Blood from the Mummy's Tomb.'

decent "Omen" ripoff with charlton heston discovering a long lost tomb of an evil egyptian queen who is foretold to live again. when Heston`s daughter is born she is pronounced dead but all that changes the second her father opens the evil queens tomb. entertaining and surprisingly creepy some times.

If you've ever wondered what The Omen would have been like if the story were about mummies instead of the devil, then this movie is for you. The movie starts out average, but ends well. Overall, an okay movie, not great but okay.

I caught this one night on late night tv and was somewhat intrigued by it. While the whole "Egyptian curse" thing has gotten extremely worn out and overused by so many movies - I still found this one to be fairly entertaining. Not a bad watch if you aren't expecting excellence.
