Finally got to see this film, and I was surprised how well Duvall was acting in it. Reminiscent of earlier times... Great movie!

Whether strutting like a bantam rooster for the Lord, fervently calling himself a “genuine Holy Ghost, Jesus-filled preaching machine,” or humbly acknowledging the folly of his actions, Duvall inhabits the character of Sonny, completely disappearing into the man's skin.

As a film critic, this movie has excellent character and story. As a christian, this film is an apologetic on par with Lewis. If you can't watch this and leave with an opportunity to talk about God, brother you need to give your head a shake and stop trying to find all the hidden messages in "the matrix". ;)

One of the greatest movies I've ever seen! A story filled with emotion, passion and redemption.
