Con man Ray Elliot decides to leave crime behind to start a company that sells fake alibis to clients who have been unfaithful to their significant others. It seems that the streetwise Ray has found his calling, until he unexpectedly becomes a murder suspect in a case involving one of his most influential customers. Now, as the police and an assassin called "The Mormon" track Ray, he and his attractive assistant, Lola, must clear their own names.

Steve Coogan really needs to impress American audiences with his ability to character act. All of his most recent movies have been basically Coogan's real life persona with a different name. He needs to show off his ability to transform into characters like Partridge, Calf etc. However, the movie wasn't too bad - quite similar in style to Get Shorty.

More cool and clever than funny. Steve Coogan is one of my favorite actors (comedic or otherwise) and does a fantastic job in this film as the lead man, especially since he very rarely gets top billing. Lies & Alibis isn't likely to wow many but it also isn't likely disappoint either. It was engrossing, fun, and at its best reminded me of an Elmore Leonard adaptation... Think Get Shorty light.

I really liked this movie. It is not predictable,. Lots of named actors that play quirky roles which just makes the movie more attractive. The plot is novel and Coogan and Romjin have great chemistry. This won't win an Oscar, but its a fun move to watch.

An alright movie. Good plot, and the whole big set-up near the ending was great, and a good cast, but it was just lacking in areas, and I found it to be quite boring at times. An alright movie, that could have been better.

Fun movie..didn't konw when it ended cuz it was fast paced and funny in parts. good. Coogan has been better (after the stupid Around the World..)
