A reasonably good thriller but easily forgettable still. Although boasting some solid performances, particularly Morgan & Moretz, & some intense thrills, the script does let it down a bit. Chastain's character is wasted and the introduction of other characters isn't quite clear. However, despite its flaws, it is well directed by Mann (daughter of the brillaint Michael Mann) and delivers on what it promises.

I was surprised how underrated this movie can be and I wondered why. The fact that was not in theaters? Low marketing campaign? Beats me. In any case, this movie shouldn't be avoided. It has a great cast: Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans) and Jeffrey Dean (Supernatural, Watchmen) make a team of detectives to solve some crimes that are commited especially to little girls came from poor families or defenceless ones. On the other hand is Chlore Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let me In) the girl came from nowhere who rocked everything at Hollywood. She plays one of the victims here, and all the other characters are shaped around her character in the flick. It is pretty amazing to watch, and give it a try. I had my doubts too, but it turned pretty well in the end. Cheers, everyone! Note: Based on a true story! Maybe that will get your attention.

Honestly, peoples and critics who actually really disliked this film (ranked from 0 to 3 or 0 to 30 from critics) are at my eyes just a bunch of redneck hillbillies nationalist scu*bag and simply feels offended so see how much their "Texas chainsaw massacre community" are portrayed from a normal human point of view.

a so so thirller story from texas city, story about serial killers and pedofiles, and two cops and their juristiction, watchble but nothing special

The complexity of real crimes entwined with the raw portrayal of evil (and no one can do it as well as the 'real' thing so that is always lacking). Technically not bad; bit of excess relational baggage but worth watching. Jeff Morgan does very well, nuance and attitudes all pretty good. Moretz and the other top bills do a decent job of acting 'regular' life around the venom of evil. It appears a bit small screen but better than most are rating it.
