A young couple die in a plane crash in the jungle. Their son is found by Tarzan and Jane who name him Boy and raise him as their own. Five years later a search party comes to find the young heir to millions of dollars. Jane agrees, against Tarzan's will, to lead them to civilization.

More of the simple life, away from the choatic urban toil and struggle of modern civilization, and away to a secret escarpment hidden in darkest Africa, home to the king of the jungle. A plane crash provides the king and his mate a little rambunctious heir but Jane wonders if perhaps England is better for the child. The 4th of the series, still effective, still vibrant, even if Jane's whining gets aggravating. If only things could be as simple as life in the jungle! If only everybody could kill a rhino with just a Bowie knife!

I've watched 4 of these Weissmuller Tarzan flicks, and so far, so good. This time, I was surprised at the dramatic twist in act three -- Jane betrays Tarzan. Nice underwater photography in this one, too. Plus, whenever you got monkeys riding elephants into battle, it can only be a good thing.

Johnny Sheffield joined the duo of Weismuller and O'Sullivan as their son Boy. Excellent film.
