A sentimental romp around Venice. Would have been better if the Sirocco hit the Lido.

Very much a film of the '50s but Katherine Hepburn is very good -- and the shots of Venice are really well done

Beautiful to look at and charming. This movie lacks any level of believability. But Katherine Hepburn could fill a screen like no one else.

The movie should have been called 'Summer Love'. The scenery is simply breathless, it made me want to go to Italy. Katharine Hepburn is too overly dramatic in this one. She doesn't seem to maintain a natural balance or flow. Rossano Brazzi brings the Italian charm to the movie.
