A group of hobos begin melting into multicolored piles of goo after drinking sixty-year-old liquor. At the same time, the psychotic Vietnam War vet who rules the hobo camp snaps and begins killing at random. Two brothers set out to stop the liquor and the killer.

One of the best extreme gore movies of the 80s with a cast of great unknowns. The lead of Fred was actually the make-up assistant to Jennifer Aspinell who has had a remarkable career with TROMA, SNL, Mad TV, NFL, and helmed the new Indiana Jones flick. The story is original and does not lack the depth and charge it nees to succeed. The liquor, Tenafly Viper lends a Lovecraftish feel to the film when it is found behind a secret compartment in the basement of Ed's Liquors. A fantastic film which is a must for every horror afficiandos film collection.

This sweet lil' picture about hobos who explode after drinking tainted booze holds a special place in my heart. Gooey, messy gore FX are the highlight of the film as are some surprisingly quality character performances from James Lorinz, Bernard Perlman and Tony Darrow. Excellent cinematography from steadicam operator/director Jim Muro (who was only 21 when he made this film) belies the low budget this film was shot on. A highly memorable (and messy) movie experience unlike any film I've seen before.

What can I say? I saw this at a friend's house and spent the next 10 years trying to track down a copy of my own. It's now saved to DVD as a treat for my old age. I LOVE this terrible, terrible, terrible film.

nothing really wrong with this movie. it makes me appreciate the wacky adventures bums have in real life.
