Straight from the Heart (2003)

Jordan Donavan, a photographer in New York, is so disappointed when after five years of going steady Edward Morgan offers her not marriage but just to move in with him, that she accepts the match-making arranged via a magazine by her female friend with Tyler Ross, a horse rancher in the West, whose candidacy was actually also posted by his sister. Had read some really great reviews on this movie, but it was pretty disappointing. The acting wasn't great, and the love story seemed contrived. Sorry, but I have a hard time seeing the wisdom in a woman flying out to meet a stranger and riding off alone with him into the wilderness. Don't get me wrong, it had some nice moments, but it just wasn't great film I was led to believe it was. I think those who give it glowing reviews must be older single women who are still holding out hope for this kind of far fetched romance. By the way, could they come up with a more generic title?

an hallmark movie that stars Teri Polo and Andrew McCarthy , it's about a guy and a woman who are set by their friends to meet by applying in some kind of a magazine , he's still upset over his wife's death and she's depressed that she has a boyfriend who isn't planning on marrying her . i love watching a movie that's set in the country with horses and ranches and all , and this is one of them that had that setting but i still think this movie could have been better.

Charming movie. I fell in love with the setting instantly. Storyline was quite decent as well. It also couldn't help but remind me of someone special.

Bad acting, horrible story, horrible dialogue, great Wyoming landscape.
