A cult classic! ...But saying that, this movie is completely stupid! I watch it every few years and it never gets any better. The best musicians of that era acting as spaghetti western cowboy? They should've just played songs instead. It had the potential to be great, but it's an utter waste of talent. Director Alex Cox still thinks he's clever for making this movie. He's not.

Excellent Spaghetti Western parody directed by Alex Cox, Alex is of course THE Ultimate Anorak of spaghetti westerns. It is actually SET in Spain, with Joe Strummer and Shane McGowan as baddies and Elvis Costello as their butler.

Non sequiturs and coffee and violence. This isn't a spaghetti western. This is the definitive splatterpunk western.

A class-A example of why you shouldn't rush the writing of a script where "shit goes crazy". Maybe I missed something, but this is just random nonsense, and not the good kind; you have to stick with it for little moments of true hilarity (i.e. Jim Jarmusch's cameo as a mob-boss), but it's not really worth it.
