Starchaser: The Legend of Orin (1985)

Set on the subterranean Mine-World, a band of human worker are treated like slaves under the power of the evil overlord Zygon until one, Orin, unearths the hilt of a mythical sword that only he can master. Escaping the planet, he runs into the rogue smuggler Dagg and a pair of helpful droids and the princess, who all team up to return to the Mine-World with a plan to defeat Zygon and free Orin's enslaved people.

Starchaser: Legend of Orin takes all of the sci-fi cliches the Star Wars helped to make popular, rolls them all together, and comes out with a campy masterpiece. It has drama, comedy, and enough adult humor to make Pixar proud.

Gosh did I ever hate this movie! It sucks because Starchaser actually has some pretty decent animation, but unfortunately the movies storyline is almost an exact rip-off of Star Wars. Seriously so much of this movie copies Star Wars it actually pisses me off, the characters in this movie are a rip-off of Star Wars's characters, the fact that they have a robot villain just like Darth Vader and the fact that the powerful sword in this movie is just like a lightsaber. This movie even steals some quotes from Star Wars, even the ending scene of this movie is almost like Return Of The Jedi's ending. This movie is just so stupid, I would never recommend this movie to anyone especially if your a fan of Star Wars.

On the surface, this is a 1985 animated film that shamelessly rips off Star Wars. Some clever writing and a desire to have a wider audience than most of it's kind,however, create something a bit more substantial and unique.

It's totally not Star Wars! :rollseyes: This film is awesome! Even if it rips off of Star Wars and Temple of Doom. It has numerous references to anal sex, and it features terrible dialog...totally worth watching, and re-watching. Sex with robots? It's totally implied by this film.
