Afghanistan. War correspondent Elsa Casanova is taken hostage by the Taliban. Faced with her imminent execution, a Special Forces unit is dispatched to free her. Love Diane Kruger, but it is a french movie, so you have to adjust, also do not know why it can not be dubbed in English. These type of movies, take advantage of current events in a bad way ... really not very entertaining ... skipped watched, and it did not get better. Djimon Hounsou is really one of the best actors that can do bad and good ...

Fantastic action film. Piss on the reviewers. Great camera work and solid production IMO considering the film makers first time film. Will definitely be looking forward to his second him. This movie was what I hoped Act of Valor would be.

At it's first glance, we know its a low budget action adventure. Now on the other hand, this film is very surprising. The presentation is not bad actually, the gun fight scenes is surprisingly awesome and I enjoyed it. Story wise its kinda messy here and there. The first half fulls with action packed scenes then towards from it, it became survival with dull story lines and flat dialogue at times. But then this film has its potential. A very watchable action flick for everyone.

The movie look a lot as The Way Back, à la Française, is more survival than action, and enjoyable to watch except these French air force promotion the first minutes. It really start while the journalist (Diane Kruger as Elsa) is kidnapped by the Talibans. Then the French government decide to take her back with a black force team. Operation was success but they can't reach the extract point : they are now hunted. Special forces take place in amazing landscapes and mix different genres from action to survival. Looking the making of, actors were set in real Afganistan conditions, land of generations of war, sometimes shoot by the camera while they were not acting but just suffering harsh weather conditions. The acting was natural and the most realistic possible. No action heroe here, only man's.
